Awesome book. I love the idea of a wizard in today's world.

It came across to me as a little bit more real than the Harry Potter books.

I could tell what was going on with this storyline when as I was reading, I knew who did it almost right away, but the book still kept me gripped into it and I have been told that the next few books in the series gets even better.

I can't wait to read them...

My dirty little secret - the Repairman Jack series and the Dresden Files series. Both are easy reads - like sitting back with a bag of popcorn. I try to read one/two from each series a year. Let me know if there are other dorky fans of the either series out there on Shelfari. I'd like to hear from you. I wasn't too impressed with this book. About a year or so after I read it, they made a TV series on Sci-fi based on the series. And yes - I watched it, I'm a fan. It's good cheesy fun...

I'm sorry, I haven't been here in awhile, been busy on other projects. No I didn't see that, I don't have cable but the Sci-Fi channel would be on the top of my list if I did.

SciFi is famous for showing episodes out of sequence. I believe that this was the orginal pilot and that they reworked it with some voice over to place it later. Because they did not feel that it was a strong enough lead for the show. I was more pleased with this one in some ways than with the others that I have seen. My mother who has not read the series seems to be enjoying it just fine and tells me to quit complaining. By the way has anyone seen the enw Vikki Nelson series yet?

Sunday night's episode did follow the exploding hearts, demon storyline of the first book, but it was strange how now there is a basement, and Susan just appeared. Looks like he is working on the beetle too. Did I fall asleep and miss something? It felt out of place from the other shows.
