I don't remember exactly what I found striking about this book, but I recall that it was one of a few books that made me decide I should be a reader of Chomsky.

Chomsky is always informative yet never truly interesting. His books are sometimes like reading an encyclopedia about stuff that they purposefullly leave out of real encyclopedias. But again, informative.
