Karen Armstrong is the greatest religious historian of our time. Neutral writing, simplified explanations to complex issues, and a talent for chronological prose makes historic figures and events come alive. Buddha is a short book with a gread deal of detail. If you like this, read Armstrong's The Battle For God, explaining modern religious fundamentalism.

A nice topic to write about..... but a useless rational book... It has nothing inducing or seducing. No daring imagination or theories nothing facinating. I think KAREN should once come to India and have a look over buddha. His rythms still viberate his birth place... The book is dry and dead.
