“Brilliantly researched biography of two incredible people who had enormous impact on the British Isles as well as the rest of the world. They are the reason we now take vacations ... wasn't done before they began to pack up their family and go away for weeks at a time. Then, with the advent of many new inventions, train travel being one of them, many, non wealthy folks found that they too could get away for a day or a weekend as well ... and so it began.
Many many other interesting bits in here too. Great read for any anglophile!”
