Expect a lot more book reviews as I've got a lot of time on my hands at the moment. This one's better described as historical fiction and is by Peter Ackroyd who specialises in the genre. Being interested in archaeology helps, and I got through it in under two days.

The story is based on the discovery of Troy by the 19th century "archaeologist" Heinrich Schliemann and his Greek wife Sophia, with the surname changed to "Obermann", presumably to avoid litigation by Schliemann's...
