“i was rather confused when i read 'from potter's field'. and i realised i should have started reading the books from the beginning of the series. so here i am.
spoiler: mark james is announced to be dead. benton and kay have an affair. or should i say....start an affair.
i must say i had wondered if the story involving mark's death had been in a separate book! then i realised it was deliberate. very interesting.
oh. the way this story introduced temple gault and spreading his cases over several books....makes me much more mindful that i must read this series in order. ”

Kay Scarpetta is well written character and I would probably enjoy reading a journal of her life. However this story seemed to wrap up very quickly without a lot of explanation.”

Although I like Cornwell and the Scarpetta Novels, it gets old after a while and I wouldn't read them more than once.”
