I loved this series! However, I didn't like the ending. The Pants were so special to all of them and they lost them? That's pretty horrible. They probably wouldn't use them for the rest of their lives but I'd much prefer for the Pants to be in someone's drawer than possibly being in a dumpster.

It was a decent ending, I should say. Who would base their friendship on some pair of pants solely when you do not need them in the first place to be together?! I mean, true friendship lasts for a lifetime.^___^

Well, I had to buy 2 copies of this book so both my girls could have their own copies in camp and trip. Both had to read it before the movie in August. I will have to fight them to read it as I refiuse to get a third copy!

Yeah I agree I really liked the ending a lot with the whole pants thing. I think this book was the best though I haven't read the first in a while.

I actually appreciated the ending - finding out they don't need a pair of pants to keep them together...that their friendship is more than that! Brashares did a great job of keeping each girl in character throughout the series...a good enough job to get a little bored with their idiosyncrasies by the end! It was good - but the first book was by far the strongest!!!
