“The city of Ember was built underground to save the human race, but 200 years later the lights are beginning to flicker. Lina finds an ancient message that Doon and her must decipher to save the city. This is a great book to read to 3rd or 4th grade students or for 5th and 6th grade students to read together or on their own. The City of Ember is the first in a series of four and will really spark students' interest to read more. The book is full of adventure and gives the reader or listener an amazing picture in their head. ”Kristen B wrote this review 3 weeks ago. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
