This is the first book in the Cat Who murder mystery series. It starts with Jim Qwilleran being assigned to cover the Art beat for the Daily Fluxion. It takes us to a murder and with murder there is always the "Who Done It". Koko comes into the life of Qwilleran and helps with the clues. Together they are quite a team.
I cannot say that I was all that impressed with this book and I don't know if I will ever read further into the series. If I do, it will be a while.

This is book 9 of my 50 book challenge:
In this book Qwill meets Koko, after he starts a job at the Daily Flux as an art commenter although he doesn't know anything about art. A newspaper that has a critic that is hated by all the amature artists except for those who show at the art gallary...then the dealer is found dead in his office, then the artist called Nino (pronounced nine-oh) and then the critic.

The story was a cozy, easy read...I really enjoy these books for what they are and it was interesting to see the relationship between Qwill, Qwills mostache and Koko start and develop. 3/5

I really liked this book. It is the first in a series, but is the only one I have read. As much as I enjoyed this book I have a feeling that you should put some time in between reading them because I can see them getting a bit repetitive (much like Janet Evanovich's books). Still a good, quick read though.

I picked this one up after seeing them around a lot of places. There are loads of them, so I figured they must be pretty good. I had no idea the first one was written back in 1966!!? There are a few things in it that date this book, but there are also a few things that sound like they might have been changed for this newer edition. Looking at the Wiki, it looks like the author wrote 3 and the 60s and didn't start again until almost 20 years later, when she starts pumping out 1-2 a year until 2007. I might go ahead and read some more of these if I don't find anything better to get into. It was likable enough, though not immensely pleasing. It did hold my interest and was a very quick read.

The first in a long series of "Cat" mysteries. Enjoyable read and not too demanding.

I actually didn't read this book I listened to the audio version narrated by George Guidal. That is what I loved about the book, it's not that it's the best story or even riveting, it's that the narrator is amazing. He makes Qwill come alive and the cats are hysterical. I love listening to this just to hear the stories come alive.

Good story but was baffled by the ending. It didn't make sense.
