Didn’t Like It“The one Cat Who... that I did not like. Polly going to take a job in Paris for two years?? Sends Qwill a Dear John letter about? Does not even take responsibilty for finding a home for Brutus and Catta? Sells her late husbands antiques? “I am a loyal fan of Quill and the kitties. However, I could not recommend this book to someone who is not. Do start at the beginning of the series, not here.
I'm sure this will be the last book and it's a shame we didn't get a bit better closure.
That said, if you've read the rest, why stop now?”

In reading the book you can sense that she wants come full circle on some unresolved issues (Qwill's relationship with Polly Duncan is over as she takes a position in a library in France and sends him a "Dear John" letter). ”

Bless you, Lilian. I hope you're well.”

Sends Qwill a Dear John letter about? Does not even take responsibilty for finding a home for Brutus and Catta? Sells her late husbands antiques? Totally out of character for Polly and very out of character for Qwill not to question it or care. This book also did not have any real plot. The end of the story revealed the who dun it but not how or why. Not like Lilian's writing at all. I think someone was her ghost writer and unfortunately did a horrible job.”

This book reads as if Braun had notes for ideas, and the notes were simply stuck together and bound. Multiple sections are totally repeated. The twists that she put in are sad and unnecessary. If you are a fan of the Cat Who series, please please skip this. Keep the fun memories of the other books because you too will be horribly disappointed. It is so bad i would even pass it along.”
