I love this because it is just full of random articles from her magazine...and being a fan of the magazine - what a great way to package the BEST reads...

We read this for a book club I belong to. It was o.k. Has some very interesting articles, but is pretty much what you would expect from a "Best Of" from a women's magazine. If you love Oprah, and/or really enjoy her magazine, a definite pick for you.

Hey afton. I have read some of it, but not all. I tend to read sections of it at a time, depending upon where I am in my life and what's going on at the moment. Each time I go back to it, I say "Oh, I didn't know THIS was in here!" I am also a horder of magazines. Whenever I'm looking for some information, I say "Ya know, I remember reading a magazine article about that" and then I find the magazine in my house somewhere. So, it's worth it for me. But, I wouldn't die without it - as I would if I lost my copy of Acts of Faith by Iyanla Vanzant. Now, THAT is a must-have "self-help" or inspirational book. Most of the material was new for ne because I don't regularly read her magazine. I can only digest so much self-help material. It can be characterized as a coffee table book, and is not the type of book you'd sit down and read all at once.

I don't own this, but am curious if the folks who do actually read it. Or re-read it, as the case may be, since it is little more than re-printed magazine articles. Did you get something out of them the second, third, or fourth time around. Was it worth the expense?
