Linda Greenlaw's account of her life in Maine running a lobster boat gives a picture of a very difficult way to make a living! Loved it!

What an amazing book! Actually heard about it from a lobsterman in Maine and couldn't resist picking it up. Greenlaw keeps you interested by telling short little stories that all combine to form the big picture. I was laughing out loud at parts!

Having never visited Maine, I feel like the author does a great job of decribing the people and personalities one might encounter there.

Ms. Greenlaw knows how to tell a tale and I am thankful everyday that I don't have to do her job.

I totally connected with this book! But then.. I've summered on a small island off the coast of Maine, and I've worked on a lobster boat.

I listened to this book on tape and I enjoyed the story about life as a lobster fisherman on a small island. The part I didn't really like was that it was ready by the author. She wrote very well, but wasn't particularly the best reader which was a little distracting. Still I recommend this book - read it instead of listening to it if you can.
