My first novel by Amanda Stevens but certainly not my last. A great thriller set in New Orleans and a fantastic story that could be taken from today's headlines, the abduction of a child. A frequent visitor to "The Big Easy" the author's settings are complex, detailed and accurate. My interest peaked with each page.

This book was not as good as I hoped. It was interesting in the beginning then it just went all over the place. Wasn't quite sure what the point of the other mess was. I will be reading another book from this other. Only because I have it in my possession. I hope this one will be better.

Wasn't sure if I would like this book or if I was its target audience -- I read this because of the Suspense and Thrillers group read -- but I ended up really enjoying this thriller. Recommended.

Intersting stories, I love it when plots are set in Louisiana. Left a lot of things hanging with no resolution. Needed some more to the plot.

This was a so-so mystery in my opinion. I could tell early on who some of the baddies were, and I don't think that was supposed to be the case, at least not in all the situations. I would probably give the author another chance, though, and I did pass this along to someone else, so I give it a grudging recommendation.

This book has a wonderfully imaginative premise and well crafted characters. Not as strong on either suspense or chills as I would have expected from reading the cover blurbs, but a story worth reading nonetheless.

I thought this was a good book but I felt as if I was left hanging with the ending. It wrapped up quickly and I was left with a question. Overall a good read and one that kept you turning the pages.

This is an amazing thriller, which I found out after I got over the creepy cover.
