Another excellent installment in the Sebastian St. Cyr series. In this book, the Viscount is solving a thirty year old murder, two recent murders, and several other personal matters. I love how the characters progress through the series, the very real feelings manifest in the book, the excellent settings and the historical accuracy of the Regency era! Wow, even the mystery was clear and complex! READ this series!

The latest installment in the St. Cyr Mystery series did not disappoint. Harris does impeccable research for her books and totally immerses the reader in the Regency Era culturally, socially, and politically. This is historical fiction/mystery at its best. The mystery itself was intriguing, complex, and well-crafted. I like the political aspects of the mysteries and how real events and people are woven into the story.

The story has also evolved into a strong character study. Over the course of the series we learn more about the main and secondary characters, but there are still mysteries and secrets yet to be revealed. There has been much speculation about who Sebastian will end up with; I am hoping for a less cliched ending than Sebastian and Kat. That seems so predictable IMHO. Things were sure left up in the air with the ending.
