A great story that highlights leadership in action. I've read it 4 times now and each time I discover new lessons about leadership.

Phew this one's a biggin! But an extrodinary man and an extrodinary story. Cleared a few misconceptions abuot what he did and why he did them. Doesn't go into a lot of what I believe what have been the horror stories over there but excellant none the less.

very insightful - he talks about how from an ordinary existence, he was catapulted into politics by being acquainted with people in politics and then went all out to gain his freedom. Both the oppressed and the oppressor suffer when freedom is denied. I loved how he painted such an ordinary start to his life and how he took it to extraordinary heights! very inspiring.

Favorite quote "I always remember the regent's axiom: a leader, he said, is like a shepherd. He stays behind the flock, letting the most nimble go out ahead, whereupon the others follow, not realizing that all along they are being directed from behind."
