    A Gond artist from Central India paints an intense, even poetic account of his visit to London. The vigorous colouring and imagery leap out from the page, but it was on reading the beautifully simple text that explained how the images were conceived that I was moved. The cover, for example, shows time as lived in London (Big Ben) and in the village (the cockerel).
