Kind of a crazy story. What starts out as a classic zombie yarn turns very supernatural toward the end, and that thread carries through the next two books. Some big surprises, can't be easily categorized, and moves at a steady clip to the surprise ending.

If you finish this book, be sure to read Monster Planet.

I let the salesperson at our local independent bookstore talk me into this one. It's currently the only "zombie novel" I've ever read. It was a quick and entertaining read and would make one hoot of a movie.
