A bit dull at times and not as well organized as I would have hoped, but still massively informative.

I was quite impressed by this book. Finding a concentrated, single-volume reference to Victorian England was something of a challenge, which made me a little leery when I found this relatively small-looking book on the shelf. I needn't have worried; while it can be a little daunting for those not already at least vaguely familiar with the history of the UK, this sums up the mid- to late- 1800's quite nicely.
