“This story haunts me. Anyone else?I bought this book for 2 reasons. 1) I just finished Babylon's Ark, a non fiction book about the rebuilding of Baghdad's zoo and wanted to know more. 2) I'm obsessed with Brian Vaughan's series Y: The Last Man.I knew from Babylon's Ark that 4 lions escaped the Baghdad zoo during the start of the war in 2003. I also knew how the real story ended.This book gave voices and personalities to those lions and I truly can't get this story out of my mind. I'd love to hear what other people think of Pride of Baghdad.”
