This book is the perfect combination of sweet, sad, and funny. Monica Drake is a wonderful storyteller, and I hope she will write more books soon because I'm dying to read more of her work.

I was torn with this story. Some times I really enjoyed it, but sometimes the conflicts that occurred with the main character were entirely predictable. This wouldn't be so bad, except that everything about the main character seemed contradictory to this. I may need to read it over again sometime later. Maybe I was having a hard time getting over the ridiculous amounts of clown stuff. The main character seemed a little out of balance.

I loved this book. An incredible feat to create slapstick throughout. I especially loved the dancing Chaplins! Her happy ending wasn't enough for me. Who cares that she got the guy? I wanted her to succeed with Kafka.

Good. I didn't like the predictable happy ending...that's just me, though.
