“This book isn't my usual cup of tea but it was more engrossing than I thought it would be. Although it is definitely a page turner it wasn't very well written. Many of the phrases were redundant throughout the book. I figured out who the killer was about 3/4 of the way through but there were a couple of twists I didn't see coming. ”

Cissy is married now with a toddler son. Her world appears to be falling apart, her marriage is failing and then the people closest to her start dieing, being murdered actually. Cissy herself is being stalked. Detective Anthony Paterno has returned and is the investigating officer.
As the police put the pieces together and the killer draws closer, a secret from the past holds the key to solving the case.
Once again Lisa Jackson draws the reader into another world, a world where fear rules and twisted individuals are willing to do anything to get what they want. While you could read this novel without reading the first one, I think it is much more enjoyable if you already have a basic knowledge of some of the characters in Almost Dead. The twists in this novel are thrilling, once again with unexpected turns and a surprise if not a total shock at the end makes this another winner.”“Little weird for me.”

“I don't know if it's just not my favorite type of book, or what, and admittedly, I don't read a lot of romantic suspense, but I did a lot of skimming on this one. I also didn't like all the ways the author tried to decieve the reader about who people were, nor all the time spent in the point of view of practically every detective, victim and criminal in the city!”

“One by one the members of her family begin to die. Cissy Cahills family secrets are following her. Well, someone is following her. Thriller. Creepy. Enjoyed it.”

“This is the second book I've read by Lisa Jackson and I liked it a lot more! I thought that the twist was much more surprising and really liked the characters. It's always better when you're rooting for them!
