There are books that are full of very clever turns of phrase and incredibly vivid descriptive details, and this is one of them. I've read quite a few books by Nersesian, and I never fail to enjoy them. The characters always feel like real people to me (maybe that says more about the people I have in my life than Nersesian's writing quality though, eh?).
