“The writing is so pretentious that it makes it hard to enjoy without rolling your eyes every few lines. It wasn't horrible, but it was well over-hyped to me. There were some interesting situations and characters that got me interested early, but it all kind of fell apart soon after.”

I think he does his research well involving the situations he puts his characters in and has a certain fearless element in his writing. He takes a lot of chances and it works. ”
