Maya Angelou keeps it "real" in this book and writes with passion and eloquence. The reflections in this book reveal the courage it took to live a life filled with a multitude of experiences good and bad, life's ups and downs, disappointments and sucesses. Completely kept my interest. Her very "real" perspective and insights on womanhood any woman will relate with.”

But is a poet hands above most and a Poet Laureate who wrote a poem for President Clinton's inauguration. This is a book that shows us more of her spirit and her soul. ”
