Betrayal in Death (In Death (Paperback))

by J. D. Robb, Nora Roberts

J.D. Robb fans are fanatical about New York City supercop Eve Dallas and her mysterious billionaire husband Roarke. Robb's futuristic (circa 2059) ...In Death series wages a two-front narrative war (the battle of good and evil and the battle of the sexes) and both author and readers come out winners.

#12 in series. Lt. Eve Dallas futuristic police murder mysteries.
These are so good. If you can read them in order so that the characterization makes sense. A truly horrible serial killer drives this story. As usual Eve's multibillionaire husband and is properties are involved. Roarke plays a big part in this one.

I had given this book a B+ on my personal rating scale. It is always good to read another Eve and Roarke adventure...just like visiting with old friends again. This book was just as good as any of her other ones. Nothing to extrodinary but certainly not bad. When it appears that Roarke is a target for a hitman Eve does everything in her power to protect him. Of course Roarke has other ideas...thinking that if it is him that is being targeted...Eve might just be next in line to get hurt. There is a little bit of a twist towards the end that was a little bit shocking. The mystery aspect of the book was fair but then I personally don't read these books for the mystery anyway.

#12. Eve Dallas investigates a homicide on familiar grounds: her husband’s hotel—and finds herself up against a murderer with a passion for the finer things in life—and death. This series is thrilling, tension-filled and passionate. Good read!

I love murder mysteries and anything by Nora Roberts or her alter ego, JD Robb.

I like all the In Death books, although the graphic descriptions of the crime scenes started to be too much for me. Other than that these are great stories, love the relationships of all the characters.
