Another very well done book by this author. This book is a very dark book and not for the faint of heart. This has some disturbing scenes about rape and torture along with horrid murder situations. Even though this was dark it was a captivating story. This introduces us to a woman forced to endure a horrendous life but is full of courage and refused to be totally broke. She eventually is rescued by a man who not only helps to save her from her horrendous life but also rescues her from herself. There are a few surprises along the way along with a big one at the end. While the ending was satisfying it ended slightly abruptly without a Epilogue seeing what their life was after everything took place along with the bombshell news. This did not take away from the overall read. Or maybe there will be more?

I have been wondering about this book. I like the cover. Is it set in medieval times? I'll have to think about it. Maybe after I read a few more reviews!
