Russo's characters are people you know or wish you did.

It was okay. There were some great quotes and some great moments, but it didn't really pull me in.

It was a little slow in the beginning, in fact, most of the action happens in the last few chapters.

A compelling read about sympathetic characters in a small town.

This is the first novel that I have read by Russo and I really like the way that he writes, his character development and the variety of sub-plots going on under the arch of the big plot.
I also have seen the DVD and the book is so much better. A lot is left out of the movie that is detailed in the book.

I loved it! Russo tells a good story about average Americans struggling through their mundane existance.
