    I thought it was an excellent character study because they all had believable flaws and interacted with each other believably. I've always been fascinated by suffragettes and thought Chevalier provided an interesting angle on the whole topic, as well as Victorian mourning. All very interesting.

    True. Maude was the most likable character. The other characters were barely likable at all. I do like the fact it was a story told in different perspectives by each character. However, I thought the story was a strange one. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
