“In 23 B.C., the poet Horace said, "Seize the day, put no trust in the morrow."
“Dean Koontz has proven once again how creative his mind is. I especially liked how he was able to slowly link together all the missing pieces (i.e. Chris's mom and Orson) and made the reader feel as if they're discovering each piece along with the main character. Although quite similar to Planet of the Apes, I still had a good time reading this on vacation.”Linh wrote this review Sunday, September 29, 2013. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? “Another long ago read that called to me to be picked up again. I've always loved this book and characters, and named my first shelter lab Orson in honor of the special dog in this book. A wonderful story, with a sequel that I'll reread next. ”Helen F wrote this review Saturday, July 20, 2013. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No

“Though I was disappointed by later novels in the same series (part of me now thinks that Koontz wrote the 'Christopher Snow' series as a preparation for the 'Odd Thomas' series, but the medical issues in the Snow series are a little restrictive) this was an enjoyable read. Aspects were a little ludicrous, reliance on a dog to drive the plot is a typical foible of Koontz's that irritates me, some of the characters deserve a slap, and the ending was confusing and it felt like the author was simultaneously trying to tie up this story but leave it open for a sequel. However, it did absorb me perfectly happily on a long journey.”Monkey Davies wrote this review Tuesday, January 29, 2013. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“I've heard good things about Koontz. Don't worry, I'll keep you posted. Just finished it. Pretty good stuff. This was book one of a trilogy. The problem is he still hasn't written book three. I'm going to read book two and then sit there with my arms crossed seething until book three comes out. ”Zameer wrote this review Monday, January 21, 2013. “Fear Nothing and Seize The Night are a series.
“In typical Dean Koontz fashion, things start happening very quickly in this book. Koontz has a real talent for, in as little time as possible, giving the necessary background information, instilling a sense of empathy in the reader by establishing the innate goodness of the protagonist, and then plunging him/her into a series of seemingly no-win circumstances that don't let up until the end. In this case, there is a sequel, so the plot doesn't entirely have closure.”Library Goddess wrote this review Tuesday, June 5, 2012. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
