“Not one of my favorite Koontz novels, but it was pretty good. The concept of this book was good, and quite frightening in all reality, but it was slow, and probably could have been told in about half the pages. :(”

“I think the most interesting thing about this is that I learned it was one of his first novels, along with Servants of Twilight, and even he admits that the characters are pretty shallow with no growth whatsoever but are merely there to carry out the plot. I think that aptly describes the book. It was an okay story but there was no depth to anything, it was pretty much a straight arrow and fairly predictable. I'm glad it was one that I grabbed off Freecycle and relegated to bathroom book. That's about where it belongs. I neither recommend nor not recommend it. If it's there, go ahead and read it if your stuck in a Drs office and forgot something better but like most of his books that I've read to date, don't pay good money for it. Freecycle or used books for under $1 is best. Don't even waste a library card on them, there are much better things to be checked out at a library.”

I can't help but enjoy reading them.”
