Liked It “A really creepy book, total page turner. I read this book around the time War Of Worlds came out into theaters. I would recommend reading this book and then re-watch or watch that movie soon after. This book is seriously amazing, planning on re-reading it soon.” see full review » see other reviews » |
Didn’t Like It “Didn't like this book at all! (spoiler alert) It started off interesting, but it just seemed to go downhill after about the first 1/4 of the book. If the aliens were kind enough to save our planet and all the children on it, why did they have to terrorize them first with such demonic activities, such violence, & horrendous death? Maybe I just missed the point completely, but I just totally didn't like this book!”

“This was my gateway to Koontz addiction. My brother had it on his shelf and told me I should try it out. Within pages I was hooked and went on to read nearly every book Koontz has ever written. The Taking is that good!”

“One of my least favorite Koontz' books, this one still receives three stars. LOVE LOVE LOVE Dean, however, this book is a bit boring. The concept is good, but I think it could have been much more exciting. ”

“I'm not gonna lie; this book terrifed me on a level I can't even BEGIN to describe. Sometime last year, I think, I was at the library. I saw this book and I picked it up and almost checked it out, but I was way to scared to even have it in my room, much less read it. I loved it, though.”
