The identity of the killer was a letdown, I thought there would be more of a twist. I also could not get too attached to the main character--he just seemed too distant and not in-depth enough for me to form an attachment. If you want a great Koontz novel, read The Husband.”

This book is intense, you put yourself in the shoes of main character, Bill Wile from the very beginning and your feet never leave their spot. I highly recommend this book. ”

Atleast 6 years or so and I'm not quite sure what the reason for that was. I thought maybe I had grown up slightly and that his reading was too light for me too enjoy.
This book proves me wrong. It is has a gripping storyline that would probably transfer well to a script and is very easy reading throughout. Took me about a week to finish this. What really caught me about the book was that eternal question that when faced with adversity, human beings will drop to almost any moral level to survive.
