A alright read. Nothing like what you would expect for a ghost seeing individual. Not nearly as catching as the first and second of the series. Another book comes out this march - contemplating whether or not it will be worth it.

I saw a pre-order for the new Odd Thomas book called "Odd Times". It's due out in May 2008! I love all the Odd Thomas books. I hope Koontz keep them coming!

so I started reading these books in reverse order, at the time didn't realize this was the third in a series with the same character. I really liked it, nothing at all like what I expected a Dean Koontz book to be like - a good read .

    Brother Odd

Dean Koontz takes Odd Thomas to a new setting for this novel. Oddie continues to surprise and entertain.

I enjoyed Brother Odd just because I love spending time with Oddie! He's such a great, colorful, rich and real character, that you feel like you know him. It's a great example of writing through the first person view... It works for this series very well...

It's funny to me, most authors become stale as they write more and more... yet Dean Koontz continues to grow and look at life in really new and interesting ways. I will agree that Brother Odd was not as "good" as Odd Thomas, yet I think some of the ethical and philosophical questioning was deeper. I started reading Koontz for his horror and have continued reading to watch and participate on his journey of deep philosophical meanderings.

I agree that you should read them all to garner the full character of Odd Thomas. I thoroughly enjoyed all of them; although I did feel the last one fell a bit short on story line. I do like Oddie, tho. Feel as though I know him. He is such a cute little guy.
