Brother Odd (Odd Thomas Novels)

by Dean Koontz

Loop me in, odd one. The words, spoken in the deep of night by a sleeping child, chill
the young man watching over her. For this was a favorite phrase of Stormy Llewellyn,
his lost love, and Stormy is dead, gone forever from this world. In the haunted halls of
the isolated monastery where he had sought peace, Odd Thomas is stalking spirits of an infinitely darker... (read more)

If you're already a fan of Odd Thomas, you'll really love Brother Odd!

The mixture of the idyllic spiritual setting and the incredible paranormal events leaves the reader on edge - but in a good way.

As always, there is a depth of humanity to the characters.

The book was a page turner, and was very easy to read. I didn't feel like there were loose ends lying about when I was through.

This book was ok. Similar to the two previous. I didn't care for the tangential stories the main character kept going off on through out the book. I know the purpose of these little stories are to give us more background on the main character, but to me, they seemed completely irrelevant. I would tend to simply skim these parts...jus to get through the book. I was also tired of the whole Elvis ghost story. I'm glad the Koontz decided to write him off at the end of the story...however,...

A alright read. Nothing like what you would expect for a ghost seeing individual. Not nearly as catching as the first and second of the series. Another book comes out this march - contemplating whether or not it will be worth it.

I saw a pre-order for the new Odd Thomas book called "Odd Times". It's due out in May 2008! I love all the Odd Thomas books. I hope Koontz keep them coming!

so I started reading these books in reverse order, at the time didn't realize this was the third in a series with the same character. I really liked it, nothing at all like what I expected a Dean Koontz book to be like - a good read .
