I love this book so much, I'm afraid to watch the movie. Do I dare?

I watched the movie not long after reading the book, and didn't find the movie nearly as enjoyable as the book, but I still thought the movie was good and worth watching.

Yes, I think you should. It's a very faithful, terrific adaptation, and the girl who plays Briony is remarkable.

I too would recommend watching the movie. But one can never get the same feel as from the novel.I guess time constraints force directors to edit out portions that might be the most appealing to a particular reader for a particular reason. Agree with tinky's view about the girl who played Briony.Go watch the film.

Don't worry, the movie's good. It made some adjustments, but they're good ones.

I read the book first then watched the movie so it was still fresh in my mind and yes the movie was good and well worth watching, like many it loses some bits of the book which is a shame, reading teh book first is always better
