“i couldn't get through this the first time, but i'm glad i tried again. it's a slow, slow, slow read, but it's meant to be. once the "story" (i use the word story pretty loosely) picked up, i got very interested in what would come next. my christian friends would like it more than non-christian friends, because it dwells on explicitly-christian themes and texts.”
