“A 9 - 11 novel, not particulary good, revolving mostly around adulterous relationships. A fair amount of wading through wordy rhetoric to get to various good passages. "Russell was a mania about his dinner parties. He was capable of throwing a tantrum if Corrine added someone at the last minute. It was one of the few areas of life in which he was prissy. When he put on his chef/host hat, everything had to be just so. (9) These dinner parties were always preceded by Sturm und Drang--Corrine...”
