Amazing how man can be so cruel to his own kind.....you must be insane to toture a human being...or even just to watch it...some political detainees in my country went throug the same kind of tortures during the Marcos dictatorship.....

Very personal. One can feel the ecstasy and the pain. Even for an autobiographical account it is too intimate and as a reader you feel as if you are intruding too far into someones life

It's about what we can endure, even when we can't endure it. This book becomes more relevant every decade as fools and dictators jockey for position on an ever-crowding world stage.
