In one of the greatest sleeper novels of all time, Christopher Moore (author of Practical Demon Keeping and Bloodsucking Fiends) sends the reader on a wild ride through a maze of adventures. Biff, Jesus' childhood best friend, tells the story of how Jesus found himself and discovered his true purpose in life. A series of misadventures where the pair travel the world in search of purpose and enlightenment makes reading this novel enjoyable and fun. It's definitely a cannot-put-it-down kind of book. Moore's character sketches are spot on and just plain hilarious. Biff is the perfect side kick for Jesus. His slightly stupid, definitely crazy, and somehow ingenious, antics force the reader to acknowledge the ingenuity of the naive. Brilliant, funny, smart, and powerful, this is one novel I would recommend to everyone. It may make a doubting Thomas out of you or a believer and you don't have to be either to love this book. It's just a great read!
