I loved this book! It is definitely a VERY creative story regarding the childhood of Jesus. Some might find it to be offensive, but I thought it was inspiring to think of Christ as a "real" human being. So often we put the life of Jesus on a pedestal because of what we know of him during his ministry. The other 30 years of his life and how he spent those days is unknown! I am very cautious about reading things that would make a mockery of God, and I feel that this book was NOT a mockery, but shows us how Jesus very well could have been, the things he experienced, and even show us imperfect disciples. I will say the sexual remarks are a little overboard, and the language, but that's also what makes us realize that those surrounding Jesus were NOT perfect. But Jesus, in real life and in this book, did not sin. Believe it or not, this book actually strengthened me relationship with God. If you find that rediculous, I would love to discuss. :)

I don't find this ridiculous. I always thought that when some people talked about Jesus being the son of God--they missed the point. We are all the children of God, it's just that some of us mind better than others. We can attain Christ-consciousness too if we are willing to do everything God asks of us.
