It took me a while to get into this book, but once I did, it turned out to be one of my favorites. You could smell and see 14th century England.

I first read Katherine years ago as a teenage. Her story remains my favorite of all time. I have read it several times over, some passages even more. And still I remain in awe of Seyton's depiction of Katherine. Her steadfast loyalty and love through hardships beyond imagination make her a true heroine for all generations.

This is such a compelling story. My mum told me to read it, one of her favourites..and now is one of mine.

I finnished reading this book recenyly and loved it, I found it easy to get into . i wouldnt have known about this author if my mum hadnt suggested i read the mistltoe and the sword which I also loved. those of you who are unsure about anyas writting style could start with the mistletoe and the sword as it is much shorter.
