Future generations studying American Lit will see "She's Come Undone" as a landmark in the therapeutic/confessional, warts-and-all fiction that marked the end of the last millennium. Every trial known to woman is heroically endured by first-person narrator Delores Price. A feminine epic, penned by a male author! This novel should have appeared in Nancy Pearl's "More Book Lust" in the "Men Channelling Women" section.

wally lamb writes a good book, but selecting books from oprah's book club is like begging to read the same story over and over and over again. she's come undone follows the female protagonist through many years of her life rife with many struggles, most of them with her own mental health. not a bad read, but not all together original or groundbreaking.
