“Important discussion of the essence of being a motivated learner.”

Yes | No“the book is about creativity and education ... about the intersection of your natural talent and passion with discovery. Initially he was going to title this book Epiphany as he state in his TED talk. (link is below)
The book is easy to read and not really groundbreaking in that the ideas are not new. What makes it a good book are the personal interviews and anecdotes from a number of well known people that illustrate his point. Also highlighted is the fact that formal education does not necessarily allow the student to find and/or follow their passion and to pursue a life-changing direction. The author discusses how our world and culture is changing rapidly. He makes the point that with technology and global changes it is necessary to step out of the conventional and follow the flow to your life's passion to bring about innovation and solutions to benefit society as well. http://www.ted.com/talks/ken_robinson_says_schools_kill_creativity.html "Sir Ken Robinson makes an entertaining and profoundly moving case for creating an education system that nurtures (rather than undermines) creativity."

“Creativity is the key.”

We live in a time when more people have an opportunity to develop their personal talents than at probably any time in history. Robinson explores the wide variety of creative possibilities and encourages everyone to find their "element." He also explains why formal school systems through out much of the developed world actually hinder the blossoming of many people's talents and abilities. By fixating on two areas: math and communication; and by pushing everyone through a standardized process of training and then assessing the results through standardized testing a whole world of creativity is overlooked.”

Now he is writing about how we benefit from doing what we love. What could be bad?”
“this is a must read for everybody who feels passion boil in their minds and body, that feeling in your underbelly, that gives you strength and lots of energy, that makes you move mountains or mountain chains :-)”
