In MAXIMUM RIDE: SAVING THE WORLD AND OTHER EXTREME SPORTS, Max is faced with the hardest quest yet. She must face the ultimate enemy (flyboys). The flock gets captured by the school. Then Angel becomes bad and while the flock is in there they are being tested and questioned. they break out with the help of Angel and Ari because it turns out Angel was never really bad. Really what happened was that Max and Angel had come up with this plan that Angel would fake that she was bad if they ever got caught. So they fly away and then split up because Ari came with them and Fang did not like it.So they split. Fang, Iggy, and Gazzy are one group and Max, Ari, Angel with Total, and Nudge are the other group. Later in Germany Max's group get captured and they call for Fang and them to there rescue. While they are there they find out the School's plans. They also find Max's so called mother Marian Janssen. But later Jeb tells her that she is not really her true biological mother and that he was her real dad. She also finds out that Ari is her Half-Brother.

  • trust: you should learn to trust people and not all people can have trust.
  • Hawks: - about visionary power and guardianship, the hawk is very protective of the young in its nest. It teaches us about providing for family and self. Hawk teaches us to be observant and to pay attention to what we may overlook. This could mean a talent we don't use, a blessing for which we haven't expressed gratitude, or a message from Life and events that take place. The hawk has keen eyesight, it is about opening our eyes and seeing that which is there to guide us.

Notes for Parents edit see section history

Reading Level: Young Adults

Nothing really bad, young adults may also read. But ages from 9-12 would be suitable too if they do not learn some of the foul languages Max thinks instead of say... You don't really learn anything bad because Max also NEVER speaks bad language in front of the smaller ones... Just that there are some love and romance between Fang and Max, shared a few kisses, but it's alright. The length of the book is deceptive, because the chapters are short, leaving a lot of blank spaces on the pages.
