“This was a good book. Hugh had many perceptive observations about life, creativity, developing your own talent--whatever it may be, and generally trying to make your way in life. His excessive use of one particular swear word and numerous references to sex were more than I needed. He would say that is who he is and you get what you get. Fine, I can live with that. But I am who I am, and for me it was an annoying detraction. Yes, we can and should be able to do whatever we want--as long as it doesn't hurt others--but being able to and then not doing brings a certain refinement to society--at least to my way of thinking. Many others have downloaded the book or read the hard copy, so I'm sure what I think won't make a bit of difference to Hugh, but it might to some other readers.”

Best quote, "If you talked to people the way advertising talked to people they'd punch you in the face."”
“Point 1, 12 and 14 are pretty much the same point, and they are worth reading the book (it's very short and has pictures) but the author seems to be a miserable person and it comes through in his writing. Otherwise, the points are a bit bitter and uninspired. Plus, if you are a creative person (not an "Artist" which is apparently a dirty word to the author) and you have not thought about these points/questions before in your life, you either live in a bubble or are retarded. There is not much unique happening here.

Great Ideas alter the power balance of relationships. Thats why great ideas are initially resisted. ”
