BabeCake Reading 748 books / 185 members / 1850 posts BabeCake Reading is a general reading group that was originally intended as an adjunct to the Yahoo general reading group Babecakes. We’re here to discuss any book or reading material. All Book-a-holics are welcome. If you are not a member of the Yahoo Babecakes group, please feel free to apply for membership at groups.yahoo.com/group/Babecakes and PLEASE mention your age. Unlike this Shelfari group, the Yahoo group does have a minimum age requirement (although very little to no “adult” type of discussion actually happens).

You do not have to be a member of the Yahoo group to be a member of the Shelfari group and vice versa. To date, the Yahoo group seems to be the more verbose of the two groups but the Shelfari group has the advantage of the wonderful shelves.

Feel free to add to the shelves especially if you are discussing a particular book. It makes it SO much easier for interested members to get more information on the book that you mention.

Also feel free to open up a discussion whenever you wish to. If it is Off Topic (not about reading or writing) please put “OT” in your discussion topic title. Administrators, though, do reserve the right to erase topics that are a bit too much off of the topic or are offensive to most other members in our group.

BTW: Opening up a discussion on both the Babecakes and the BabeCake Reading groups will not be considered cross-posting and are welcome. In fact, for those of you who are on both groups, please feel free to cut and paste discussions (but not the responses please) from one group to the other. We administrators don’t always remember to do this and need the help.
