The vampires in this series are different than any other vampires I have read. They are not sexy or funny, but closer to zombies with thier own controlling zombie queen. Strong female lead with OK side characters. BUT I enjoyed the book, but do not love it. Whereas Adam's and Clamps other books are more like that nice comfortable chair you love to relax in, the Thrall books are just your everyday chair, but with an interesting seat cover.
