“This is great. If you are tempted to believe every email that anyone sends you---read this book first. He "debunks" most of the "stories" out there on email forwards. It's better than snopes.com because he tells the story behind the story, so to speak. I've read a few of his books---good examples of modern myths in some cases. He's a friend of a local Nebraska author.”

“This is a fantastic source for all kinds of urban legends, if you are in to that sort of thing. Brunvand does a fantastic job of organizing and collecting, and this book (while being scary at some points) is wholly amusing. ”
