Jack Gunthridge intentionally left the location of this story ambiguous. He never mentions a city or a state. Although it most likely takes place somewhere in the mid-west, there would be issues with the weather when Jack and Christine are in the tree house on Valentine's Day.

Reading Level: Young AdultsThere have been a few concerns about the sexual nature of this book. Jack Gunthridge started to write the screenplay that this novel is based on when he was in the seventh grade. The sexual content is nothing more than innuendo and what is currently happening in a teenager's life.
