His mom sends him to bed and he doesn't want to be there so he travels to the monster world. In his room there are distinct lines and calm colors and than when he gets to the wild things everything is out of order and the colors go crazy. Even the lines in the book are black and diagonal. All the wild things are have diagonally shaped fur and no real person to take care of them. As the little boy becomes king everything starts to settle down. Throughout the story the light colors are there to represent safety. Things were crazy but he was safe. ”
